Nickelodeon officially unveiled the next chapter of the Avatar franchise, Seven Havens, during San Diego Comic-Con, introducing Pavi, an earthbending Avatar tasked with surviving in an era that views her as a global threat rather than a savior.
Meet Pavi: The Avatar Who Is Feared, Not Adored
More than a decade after the conclusion of The Legend of Korra and two decades since the debut of Avatar: The Last Airbender, the franchise is moving into a darker narrative territory. The first promotional image revealed at SDCC showcases Pavi, an earthbender who inherits the mantle of the Avatar at a time when the title has become synonymous with destruction. Unlike her predecessors, Pavi is not celebrated; she is hunted.
According to the official series synopsis, Pavi must navigate a treacherous landscape alongside her long-lost twin. Pursued by both human and spirit adversaries, the duo is tasked with uncovering their mysterious origins to save the “Seven Havens” before the final remnants of civilization fall.

What We Know About the Cast and Production
The concept art unveiled at the convention highlights Pavi at the center of the frame, accompanied by a feline companion and her mentor, a character identified as Jae. Seven Havens is scheduled to premiere in 2027 on Nickelodeon, with a confirmed order of 26 episodes split across two seasons.
Expanding the Avatar Universe
Beyond the new series, Nickelodeon is simultaneously developing a feature-length film that bridges the gap for fans of the original Avatar: The Last Airbender. This upcoming movie will follow Aang and his companions during their young adult years. In a move to ensure cultural authenticity, the studio has recast most of the original voice roles. The project is also set to feature Dave Bautista as the primary antagonist when it hits screens in 2026.
