Lego is officially bringing the world of KPop Demon Hunters to brick form, with a new line of building sets based on the hit Netflix animated musical set to debut this summer.

Derpy Leads the First Wave of Sets
While full set reveals are still under wraps, the initial announcement offers a playful teaser: a Lego model of Derpy, the film’s demon tiger mascot, caught in the act of knocking over a potted plant. This scene perfectly captures the character’s fan-favorite quirk—his destructive habit of tipping over greenery, only to struggle (and fail) to repair the damage due to his lack of thumbs.
According to the rollout schedule, this specific set will arrive in 2026, with additional waves planned for 2027. Although there is no official confirmation yet regarding the titular Huntr/x group, fans can remain optimistic. Since Rumi, Mira, and Zoey already appeared in Lego-style minifigure form during last year’s Fortnite collaboration, it is highly probable that the trio will eventually be immortalized in plastic.
Expanding the KPop Demon Hunters Universe
The transition into merchandise marks a significant expansion for the franchise. Netflix and Sony, initially caught off guard by the massive cultural impact of the film, have spent the last eight months rolling out high-quality collectibles. Notable releases include stunning Huntr/x dolls from Mattel Creations, featuring the characters in their iconic “What It Sounds Like” performance outfits.
Despite the current focus on premium collector’s items, there is a clear demand for more accessible merchandise tailored to the film’s younger demographic. As the brand continues to grow, fans are looking forward to a broader range of products that cater to all age groups.
What’s Next for the Franchise?
While anticipation for a sequel is high, audiences will have to wait a while longer to see the hunters return to the screen, as Sony and Netflix are currently targeting a 2029 release date. In the meantime, the original film continues to dominate the spotlight, maintaining its momentum throughout the current awards season by sweeping both music and film category honors.
