Marvel’s latest theater-exclusive teaser for Avengers: Doomsday, currently circulating online, features Shuri of Wakanda and introduces Ben Grimm, also known as The Thing, as the MCU continues to integrate the Fantastic Four into its multiversal narrative.

Wakanda Faces a New Multiversal Threat
The fourth promotional teaser, which Marvel has been aggressively scrubbing from social media platforms, centers on Shuri’s preparation for an encroaching catastrophe. The footage highlights the emotional weight of her journey following the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, alongside somber appearances by Namor and the people of Talokan, who are seen observing an ominous, unseen threat on the horizon.
The Fantastic Four Enter the MCU Fray
The most significant reveal in the footage is the interaction between Shuri, M’Baku, and Ben Grimm. While the logistics of how the Fantastic Four transition between universes remain unclear, the teaser confirms their active participation in the broader conflict. This follows the established timeline where the group arrived on the main MCU Earth after Thunderbolts*, with Fantastic Four: First Steps already hinting at Doctor Doom’s fixation on Franklin Richards.
Where Is Doctor Doom?
Despite the persistent marketing campaign declaring that various heroes will “return in Avengers: Doomsday,” the titular villain remains conspicuously absent from these previews. Previous teasers have already highlighted the return of Steve Rogers, Thor’s desperate plea to his father regarding his daughter Love, and the integration of the X-Men. With Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom still hidden from view, fans are left speculating whether the studio is intentionally withholding the character or if the promotional rollout is more extensive than initially anticipated.
Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to hit theaters on December 18.
