House House, the creative minds behind Untitled Goose Game, is offering fans an exclusive chance to play their upcoming co-op puzzle title, Big Walk, between March 16 and April 19—but there is a significant catch: you must visit the publisher Panic’s headquarters in Portland, Oregon, to play it in person.

A Unique Hands-On Experience
The demo offers a full hour of exploration and puzzle-solving within the game’s quirky and charming open world. For those lucky enough to be in the Portland area, the experience is highly recommended. Panic has dedicated a special Big Walk-themed room for the event, featuring four gaming stations equipped with noise-canceling headphones. This setup is specifically designed to force players to rely on the game’s proximity chat feature, which is a core component of the cooperative gameplay experience.

Why You Won’t Find a Steam Demo
If you were hoping for a digital release of the demo, you are likely out of luck. When asked about the possibility of an online demo or a presence at events like Steam Next Fest, representatives from Panic indicated that it is unlikely. The developers at House House have prioritized finishing the full game over the time-consuming process of producing and maintaining a separate, polished build for public online distribution on platforms like Steam or PlayStation.
Consequently, unless you are local to Portland or have the means to travel, this in-office event may be your only opportunity to experience the game before its official launch.
