Games Workshop has officially announced that a new “Warhammer World” flagship destination will open in the United States, just outside Washington, D.C., in late 2027.
A New Home for Warhammer Fans
While Warhammer is a quintessentially British pastime, its popularity in the United States has surged, creating a massive community of enthusiasts. Recognizing this, Games Workshop revealed plans to bring the iconic Warhammer World experience across the Atlantic. This new venue is designed to serve as a premier destination for players of Warhammer Fantasy, Warhammer 40,000, and Age of Sigmar.
What to Expect from the US Venue
For the uninitiated, the original Warhammer World in Nottingham, UK, is far more than a retail space. It functions as a comprehensive hobby center, museum, social hub, and restaurant. The UK location is famous for its themed dining, including the “Bugman’s” branded menu, which features items like the Bugman’s Stack burger and Bugman’s Ale.
Regarding the upcoming American expansion, Games Workshop stated: “We’re not going to replicate it brick-for-brick, but instead build something equally uncompromising on quality and experience, something worthy of Warhammer’s rich settings and of course the title ‘Warhammer World.’”
A Flagship Experience
The company confirmed that the facility, located near Washington, D.C., will act as a flagship venue dedicated to celebrating the Warhammer universe in all its forms. While specific details on the layout and potential local menu offerings remain under wraps, the announcement signals a significant commitment to the North American market, aiming to provide a high-end, immersive environment for fans of the tabletop hobby.
