Johnny Knoxville officially confirmed that a new, untitled Jackass film is set to hit theaters on June 26, bringing the chaotic franchise back to the big screen much sooner than fans expected.

The Return of the Stunt Legends
On January 8, the franchise’s ringleader, Johnny Knoxville, took to Instagram to share the iconic skull and crutches logo paired with the June 26 release date. The announcement promises a return to the series’ roots, featuring the signature mix of high-stakes stunts, visceral gross-out humor, and the inevitable physical tolls that define the Jackass experience.
“Well, a wang dang and hot damn doodle, we are starting the year off with a bang,” Knoxville shared on social media. “We wanted to let you know that this summer, Jackass is back!! We will see you in theatres June 26th. More to come, but wanted you to hear it from us first!”
Cast Speculation and Franchise History
While the release date is set, Paramount has yet to disclose the full roster of participants. 2022’s Jackass Forever successfully blended the original MTV-era crew with a fresh group of younger talent. It remains unclear if that newer generation will join the veterans for this latest installment.
Notable absences from recent productions have been expected. Ryan Dunn, a staple of the early years, passed away in 2011. Additionally, Bam Margera, who has navigated a long and public struggle with substance abuse, has maintained a fractured relationship with the production team, making his involvement in the upcoming project highly unlikely despite his current sobriety.
A Financial Powerhouse for Paramount
The Jackass franchise remains one of Paramount’s most reliable commercial successes. The four primary films, along with the Bad Grandpa spin-off, have grossed over $560 million worldwide, consistently outperforming their modest production budgets. The brand’s reach has even extended into the gaming world, though the 2007 Jackass video game remains a notorious critical failure that is widely avoided by fans.
